How to get your credit reports in Florida.
There are official and unofficial credit reports. You can get your official credit reports at annualcreditreport.com. Answer a few questions that only you would know the answer to and then download them.
You can also go directly to each of the credit bureaus at:
Tell them that youre a victim of identity theft and they will give you your reports for free.
The unofficial reports can be obtained from several sources including Creditkarma.com. However, Credit Karma only provides Trans Union and Equifax reports. If you go this route, you will still need to get your credit report from Experian at Experian.com.
Don’t forget to freeze your credit.
After you have verified that your identity has been stolen, call any one of the credit bureaus and inform it that your identity has been stolen and ask for a credit freeze. This means that before any credit grantor can pull your credit, the credit bureau must call you and get your permission to release your credit report to the potential creditor. All you have to do is notify one of the credit bureaus and it will automatically notify the other two.
